Governor's School Foundation

Events for 2009-10

Part of the mission of the Foundation is to keep alumni and friends connected to the school, and to that end, we sponsor or co-sponsor many events each year.

Fall 2009

Fall Festival (Friday, October 2nd from 4-8 PM on the school grounds) Alumni and friends enjoy international food, spectacular music and entertainment, and games and crafts, while mingling with old friends.

Reunion Weekend (October 2nd-4th) The Class of 1999 celebrates their 10-year reunion with a Friday night reception at Bottom's Up Pizza, a Saturday afternoon Open House with Faculty at Maggie Walker, a Saturday evening banquet at Black Finn Restaurant, and a Sunday picnic lunch at Maymont Park.

Winter 2009-10

Alumni Holiday Reception (Saturday 26 December from 5:30-7:30 PM) at the Short Pump Hilton.

Alumni Open House (Tuesday 5 January from 3:30 to 5:30 PM) at Maggie L. Walker. All Governor's School teachers and alumni are invited, with a special invitation to the Class of 2009.

Spring 2010

Night of the Dragon Auction (Saturday 6 March from 6 to 10 PM) at the Shriners Acca Temple, 1712 Bellevue Ave, Richmond. Tickets are $50 each. RSVP by February 24. Click here for the invitation.

Pat Taylor Retirement Reception (Friday 30 April from 7 to 10:30 PM) at the Hermitage Country Club, 1248 Hermitage Road, Manakin-Sabot. RSVP by April 23. Click here for the invitation.
